Karen Galarpe is a print and online journalist based in Manila.
After college at the University of Santo Tomas, she worked in the world of finance as a certified public accountant before going back to her first love, writing.
She took masteral units in journalism at the University of the Philippines and was the former editor in chief of Smart Parenting, SME Insight, Art Manila Newspaper, Smart Mom, and Financial Executive magazines, and former family and home editor of Good Housekeeping Philippines. She was most recently the lifestyle editor of ABS-CBN News Online.
Karen knew she wanted to be a writer as early as Grade 4 when her sister gave her a Hello Kitty diary for Christmas. She is mom to a teenager who is taller than her.
